The shape of the new interchange can now be seen clearly, with one of the two bridge spans in place. The original roundabout has been partly torn up and replaced with a temporary mini-roundabout; at the bottom of the picture the A674 Chorley Road runs single-file under temporary signal control while its new course to the interchange is tied in to the existing road.
